Dr. Michael Floyd is a graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he also completed his residency. Dr. Floyd practices general urology and has special interests in the treatment of erectile dysfunction – including penile prosthesis placement, enlarged prostate, no-scalpel vasectomy, and treatment of urinary incontinence. Dr. Floyd has had extensive training in and attend multiple seminars on Urologic Prosthetic Surgery such as penile prosthesis and artificial urinary sphincter placement.
Dr. Floyd recently served as president of the Texas Urologic Society and has been listed as a Texas ‘Super Doctor’ by Texas Monthly Magazine several times: from 2006 to 2009, and from 2012 to 2021. He formerly served as Vice Chief of Surgery at St David’s South Austin hospital, and is currently the Chief of Surgery at St David’s South Austin hospital.
Dr. Floyd lives in Austin with his wife, Patty and their two daughters.
