Dr. Drake grew up in Ohio, where he earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry at the University of Cincinnati. He earned his medical degree at the University of Cincinnati as well. He completed general surgery and urology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He then moved to Atlanta and practiced urology for 12 years before joining Wellstar Urology in 2024.

Dr. Drake is Board Certified in Urology. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a member of the American Urological Association and the Endourological Society. He is also a member of the Medical Association of Georgia. He treats patients with a wide variety of urologic conditions. He sees patients with cancer (prostate, kidney, bladder, testicle), BPH, erectile dysfunction, overactive bladder, and urinary tract stones. Dr. Drake is experienced in using the DaVinci robotic surgical system for minimally invasive treatment of urologic cancer and reconstructive procedures but is also skilled in using traditional open and laparoscopic techniques. He is also familiar with multiple minimally invasive procedures used to treat BPH.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and running, as well as attending sporting events of all types. He is an avid fan of Atlanta United and the University of Cincinnati Bearcats.
